What an honor for us as a blogging community. A nice surprise to find this morning.

WordPress.com News

We blog because we have something we want to express and we hope it will resonate with someone else. Blogging enables us to build powerful connections with people we might have never met otherwise.

There are lots of blogging communities and challenges aimed at fostering those relationships and inspiring more blogging. These three, all writing-focused, are building global networks of blogger-writers — maybe you’ll find a home in one!

Today’s Author

The mission of Today’s Author couldn’t be simpler, or more powerful: to foster a community of creative writers through a healthy and supportive environment.

Today’s Author is an open, flexible community of writers focused on helping each other kick-start their pens (or keyboards). Their prompts work for a variety of bloggers, while their “Writers’ Circle” posts explore everything from what to do when inspiration dries up to strategies for editing your own work to how we incorporate our traditions and…

  • Dear Rochelle

It is a great start to the week and thanks to you, FF is now part of the week for so many writers from all over the world. I know that I miss a few prompts from time to time – work is still getting in the way of the life i would like to lead – but I do look forward to posting and commenting when I can.

    Well done and thank you

    • Dear Dee,

If I didn’t have participants such as yourself there’d be no Friday Fictioneers. As you know, all I did was adopt Madison Woods’ baby and kept feeding it. 😉

So I return words of appreciation to you and over a hundred others.

      Shalom,

      Rochelle

      • You are right about that, Rochelle. Parul is a newlywed, so I guess we can cut her a little slack for being distracted. But I have been trying to get her back to writing and I know she wants to, so maybe a little arm twisting from all her other friends here is needed.

  • Well done! I’ve only been here once – but it truly is an inspirational place and I think you have done very well in creating something special – no wonder so many love to participate and enjoy the prompts! Congrats Rochelle! 🙂

    • Dear Patricia,

Thank you for your kind words. I knew Friday Fictioneers was something special when I found it. I can’t take credit for creating it,only perpetuating it. That honor goes to Madison Woods who allowed me to adopt her baby. And without the other writers there’d be no Friday Fictioneers.

Again, thank you. I hope to see you back.

      Shalom,

      Rochelle

Have a great day and week 🙂

  • Greetings and thanks for the challenge. As others have mentioned, I am new to this but I am compelled to participate. The link to my blog is http://jtelusma.wordpress.com/ Netty’s Blog, which I will use to write my weekly entries. Netty’s blog will lead you to another blog that I refer to as “my ministry.” I notice you stopped by already 🙂 I’m honored. Please dive in if possible and tell me what you really think. Have an Amazing day 🙂

  • Rochelle, I love the community that we have here, and hold the people who I connect with each week, in my heart all week long. Seriously. Of all the writing groups and things I do, this is one of the most sacred for me, and the one I most look forward to!

You, Rochelle, have done so much to make so many feel welcome, to hold us to high standards, and to show true integrity in writing and interacting with us all. I haven’t missed a single one since September, because I love being a part of this wonderful community. Mazel on this wonderful spotlight, so richly deserved! You rock, friend.

I can’t tell you how much I cherish your comments. You’ve fast become a good friend and I hope one day we can meet face to face. The months since September have sped by and it seems to me you’ve always been a part of Friday Fictioneers.

      Thank you so much.

    • Dear Celestine,

I so appreciate you coming by and commenting. I realize that there’s life outside of Friday Fictioneers. I’m always pleased when you are able to participate. You were there when I was the new kid on the block. 😉

  • Good story: In spite of all the other ways we can go with our writing, there’s just something about a story where love really does win in the end that still makes it the BEST kind of story in the world. And congratulations on the acclaim from WordPress! Well-deserved attention, if I may say so.

    • Dear Sandra,

Is a comment on my story “After the Worse?” It seems to be but is on Writing Communities reblog page. At any rate all your words are received and appreciated by me. Thank you.

      • Yes, I read both at the same time, and then made my comment, but didn’t notice that I was in the wrong place. Sorry about that. It was a good story though. It’s just a shame that writing a good story isn’t enough. Now you also have to chase around to find the comments on it.

        • Dear Sandra,

Not to worry. I’ll take the comments anywhere I can find them…as long as they’re as complimentary as yours. 😉 I’ve been accused of being a comment junkie. I suppose there’s some truth to that.

Thank you again and thank you for being a part of Friday Fictioneers.

          Shalom,
