BIRD THONG

“Raaaawk! Perry pecked a pack of pimpled pipers.” The bird flapped his feathers and strutted across his perch. “Perry’s pimpled pipers ate pickled peaches. Raaaawk!”

Connie swept bird poo beneath his post, dumped it in the trash, and shook her head. “It’s Peter Piper, you silly goose.”

“Hoooonk! I’m a goose!”

“No, you’re a Mynah bird.”

“Raaaaawk! Mynah place or yours, sexy thing?”

“Don’t! Stop it, you dumb bird.”

“Don’t! Stop! Don’t stop! Don’t stop!”

Outside, her husband’s truck juddered into the driveway. She met him at the door. “Russell Gayer, why can’t we have a dog like normal people?”

Th-th-that’s all folks!!!

    • Dear Big Bird,

Tell Connie I’ll be keeping her in my prayers. But something tells me she’ll find plenty of things to keep you busy. Either that or she’ll use you for stuffing an old vintage chair or something. Better mind your p’s and q’s. Raaaaaawk!

  • Oh, Rochelle, you’ve outdone yourself with hilarity this week! This brought tears of laughter to my eyes and made people look at me funny. It was worth every glare! 🙂 ❤ Giggles.

    • Dear Courtney,

We once had a pair of Cockatiels. Beautiful creatures, but messier than dogs. Feathers and bird poo everywhere. Now we’re pet-less unless we count each other. 😉 Glad you enjoyed my silly story. 😀 Thank you.

      Shalom,

      Rochelle

  • Love this story. It’s funny, with some really cute lines. Talking birds can say the darndest things. However, they only repeat what they heard. So, Birdman, what is said around cages does not stay around cages. Good job M’luv.

  • Hi Rochelle, maybe I’m just too serious but I wasn’t sure this story was going to be fun at all. Really like the idea of the different ‘conversations’ going and really well-written. I just keep thinking of a horror version…possessed bird whose words get darker and darker. Best wishes, Rachel
