Do you believe in love at first sight?
I do.
I believed it then.
I believe it now.
When you curled your tiny fingers around mine
You furrowed an unfathomable trench in my heart
That has only deepened with time.
This was taken several winters ago when school was called on account of snow.

Awwww … what a goofy photo … and what a lovely, lovely verse! Yes, there are some furrows that little ones dig into our hearts to burrow for eternity, with no time needed at all for the digging. Instantaneous unconditional love. 🙂
