A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend. How you use the prompt is up to you. Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like. Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise. If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in the comments.
In another world
Beneath the waves
Water speaks to my spirit
In ripples of silence.

Dear Adele,
Whether ocean, lake or swimming pool, there’s something about being submerged in watery quiet that soothes me like nothing else. Thank you.

By the way, I love yours. This is how I have often felt in any kind of water, lake, ocean, river. You made me remember.

Dear Eugenia,
Nothing puts me in a good mood faster than a good swim. What others might consider boring, ie laps (back and forth for an hour) I consider the ultimate exercise, think tank and place to meditate. Thank you.

It’s funny, I don’t think of meditation when I swim, but when I meditate, I always picture myself swimming in a beautiful lake or sitting by the ocean.
