After forty-five years I miss your mercurial personality. Remember our lively battles of wits, Jerry—all those ornery barbs we lobbed back and forth? I wish you were still here so I could say them all over again.
*My husband’s brother, Jerry, died in a car accident when he was in the Air Force, stationed in Turkey in 1974. He was one of the funniest, sharpest people I have ever known.

I can understand how you would feel that way — loss is call that for a reason. There is a longing for what could, that no amount of yearning can bring back. And that does not feel fair, even if we understand that it is just how it is.

You caught me in a moment on this one. Admittedly a tear appeared. He was very witty and left us at a young age with a very young son. Though his son, and now Grandson could not know, they mimic Jerry in so many ways. Well done M’luv.
