PHOTO PHINISH

Like so much of the population these days, I spend more time on Facebook than I should. To my defense, it’s how I’ve managed to steal find some great pictures to use as Friday Fictioneers prompts.

Fictioneers, David Stewart, Sandra Crook, and Dale Rogerson are talented photographers, so I often peruse their pages. I promise that I will always ask permission. Well, almost always.

Last week Dale posted this beautifully lit photo. Stunning, isn’t it?  In fact, I thought it would make a nice painting—if I could pull it off.

This is my story and I’m sticking to it.

  • Dear Rochelle,

How lovely to simply tell it like it is (and smart, too). I’m chuffed you peruse my pages for inspiration and you know you have an open invitation to continue to do so!

    Shalom and lotsa inspired love,

    Dale

  • Well chosen, Rochelle.

Dale is an extraordinarily talented photographer who delightfully inspires many.

And you are Mistress of the FF realm in selecting inspiring photos and often recreating excellent watercolor renditions of same.

    Peace,

    Bill

  • Rochelle, That’s a beautiful picture you made and a great tribute to Dale’s photo. Thanks for the shout-out and you have my permission to use any of my pictures. 🙂 I’ll be traveling again in a few weeks so hopefully I can generate some good ones.
    Have a good weekend, David

  • 😱 I thought pictures were submitted, not s̶t̶o̶l̶e̶n̶ borrowed. We learn so much when we peek behind the curtain.

Lovely painting. Isn’t it great when we can get multiple creations out of a single inspiration? That’s what I try to do with my mini “audio plays.”

    • Dear Nobbin,

Actually, I do periodically ask for and am always open to submissions. There are those few from whom I have permission. Of course I take advantage of it. 😉

(Pay no attention to the woman behind the curtain.)

I love your audio plays, BTW.

      Shalom,

      Rochelle
