MY NAME IS BETTY
How does one distill a life that lasted 104 years down to one-hundred words?
Betty Reid Soskin had been a singer, a civil rights activist, a wife, a mother and, in her later years, a park ranger at Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park. There, she led tours and shared American history. She retired at the age of 100.
Toward the end of one interview, she was invited to say whatever came to mind.
The soft-spoken, 101-year-old woman looked into the camera and said, “I don’t know what comes next, but I do know I’m ready for it.”
Betty passed away December 21 at the age of 104. Here’s one of her interviews. She was one amazing woman.

Thank you for showcasing the life of this amazing woman!

Dear Megan Magoo W(T)F,
Perhaps Betty’s story will inspire you to take a job giving tours at the International Mime Museum–oh wait, there’s no one there to guide, and nothing they could see anyway. Better stick to working the troll booth.
Looking forward to NOT sampling the food.

Dear Dudley Dimwit,
Hmmm, an invisible mime museum. An interesting concept. It would be very quiet.
Thank you for stopping by. Don’t be a stranger. Take your shoes off. Set a spell.
