Weekend Writing Prompt – Endless

Published August 29, 2020 by rochellewisoff

A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend.  How you use the prompt is up to you.  Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like.  Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise.  If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in Sammi’s Comment Section.

Remember when we had all the time in the world?

Endless waiting.

Excitement mounting

Cake shopping.

Dress fittings.

When did time slip almost fifty years

Into the future?

  • Dear Rochelle,

I was going to ask you if you had any of your wedding photos to show me. That’s so cute. I can clearly see the height distance between the two of you in that picture. You look so dainty against your giant of a man.

Time certainly does slip, but it ain’t over yet. I wonder what tomorrow will bring. A world famous, bestselling author, perhaps!

    All best wishes,
    Sarah

    • Dear Sarah,

I’m laughing at “giant of a man.” Jan’s about average height and has 6 foot nephews who tower over him. i just happen to be a little below average height. 😉

As for the bestselling author…From your mouth to God’s ears.” 😉 It’s definitely not over. Thank you for kind words.

      Shalom,

      Rochelle

  • Rochelle,

Time keeps on slipping, slipping, slipping . . . . and you know, you reworked the lyrics to that song into something beautiful. And it only took eighteen words for you to pull it off.

    Lovely and true, Ms Rochelle.

    Shalom,

    Marco
