A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend. How you use the prompt is up to you. Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like. Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise. If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in Sammi’s Comment Section.
Remember when we had all the time in the world?
Endless waiting.
Excitement mounting
Cake shopping.
Dress fittings.
When did time slip almost fifty years
Into the future?
This is how time goes, in a blink.

Heartwarming meditation and such sweet pictures of the two of you, Rochelle. Some moments seem like just yesterday, but maybe that’s because they’re forever in our hearts. 😉~Dora

Time keeps slipping away. It doesn’t stop. But darn, it happened so quickly. But, at least it was with you.

Dear Rochelle,
I was going to ask you if you had any of your wedding photos to show me. That’s so cute. I can clearly see the height distance between the two of you in that picture. You look so dainty against your giant of a man.
Time certainly does slip, but it ain’t over yet. I wonder what tomorrow will bring. A world famous, bestselling author, perhaps!
All best wishes,
Sarah

Dear Sarah,
I’m laughing at “giant of a man.” Jan’s about average height and has 6 foot nephews who tower over him. i just happen to be a little below average height. 😉
As for the bestselling author…From your mouth to God’s ears.” 😉 It’s definitely not over. Thank you for kind words.

That made me smile. Fifty years. You may not feel like you have all the time in the world, but you have had the world in your time, you have had love. It shows in both pictures.

Hey Rochelle,
That is wonderful. I know where the years went, but then I still ask, where did they go? Loved the photos.

Ah yes, the unforgettable past has become the unimaginable future.
It just kinda snuck up on us, m’lady, when we were busy living our lives.
A lot of stuff happened in your 18 words!

Rochelle,
Time keeps on slipping, slipping, slipping . . . . and you know, you reworked the lyrics to that song into something beautiful. And it only took eighteen words for you to pull it off.
Lovely and true, Ms Rochelle.

Dear Marco,
I’m glad you connected to the song lyric. One of music’s most memorable IMHO. Thank you for reading and leaving such a lovely comment.

It really is! A song that is always being snipped and parsed by other bands and musicians, for good reason.
Love this, as per usual.
