A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend. How you use the prompt is up to you. Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like. Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise. If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in Sammi’s comment section.
Simple pleasure
A favorite toy
My own hall of mirrors
Contained in a tin cylinder
Rotating bits of glass
Splendor of refracted color.
Perfectly described Rochelle. I’m very tempted to go and get myself one!

Dear Keith,
I’m thinking it’s time for me to get one for myself. It’s been years. When I was quite small those kaleidoscopes were inexpensive and found everywhere. No batteries needed. Thank you.

Dear CE,
They were cheap dime store toys back in the day. So much fun. Thank you, kind sir.

Dear Dale,
It’s kind of fun to explore poetry again. Yeah, I might have to order a kaleidoscope. However none of them have the chips of coloured glass I remember. Glad you enjoyed. Thank you.
Shalom and lotsa refracted rainbow hugs,
Rochelle

Darn… all good things end up gone…
Why couldn’t they just keep it as is?

Me three! (actually, I HAVE three!) 😉 would have more if it weren’t for the reality of small space and WAY too many books … and, I find myself giving those away to children (and adults who used to be children) who rediscover the magic.
🙂
So I do replenish.

I never had a kaleidoscope, but I finally met one as an adult. They’re fun.

Rochelle,
Just like the kaleidoscope, you were beautifully in sync. And in twenty three words at that!
